ATTENTION FIRST TIME
USERS!
The Mixing Bench is a "Try Before You Buy Program". It operates for 30
days from the date of initial installation. Please be sure you are completely
satisfied with the program before purchasing.

New Installations

New Stand Alone |

- Click the Download Link above.
- Select Save.
- Select Desktop or choose a different destination. This can
be your hard drive, a flash drive, network drive or any
media large enough to hold the program. (Will not fit on a
floppy disk.)
- Close the Internet.
- Double Click on the SetupTMBxxx.exe program you just downloaded.
- Select Run if asked.
- Setup will install the program and place an icon on your
desktop.
- Start the program clicking the Mixing Bench 8 icon on your
desktop.
- Register the program.
- That's It!

New Peer to Peer Network Setup |

- Click the Download Link above.
- Select Save.
- Select a destination for the file. This can
be your hard drive, a flash drive, network drive or any
media large enough to hold the program. (Will not fit on a
floppy disk.)
- Select a computer to act as the main computer ("server").
- Install and register The Mixing Bench on the server.
- Allow network access by sharing the installation directory. This
is normally ("C:\mixbench"). Set rights to "Allow
network users to change my files".
- On each workstation computer:
- Map a drive to the shared directory on the server.
- Install and register The Mixing Bench.
- Start the Mixing Bench program.
- On the Administrator Files screen, Administration tab, enter the path to the data directory on the
server or use the select button to
the right of the field. (UNC is supported)
- Restart The Mixing Bench to use the new data directory.

New Dedicated Server Network Setup |

- On The Server:
- Install the The Mixing Bench in a directory that
will be shared. This will create the
files necessary for network use.
- If you plan to run The Mixing Bench from the server console you
must register the program on the server. (After 30 days the program
it will no longer run but the data files can still be shared on the
network.)
- Create a network share that includes the installation directory
and give users all rights to the directory.
- On each workstation computer:
- Map a drive to the shared directory on the server.
- Install and register The Mixing Bench.
- Start the Mixing Bench program.
- On the Program Options screen, Administration tab, enter the path to the data directory on the
server or use the select button to
the right of the field. (UNC is supported.)
- Restart The Mixing Bench to use the new data directory.

Upgrading A Stand Alone |

- Install
the new Mixing Bench program in the same directory as the previous version. The
setup program will create an icon for the program under Start, Programs, The Mixing Bench. A program icon will
also be placed on the desktop.

program and the data conversion utility under Start, Programs, The
Mixing Bench. A program icon will also be placed on the desktop.

- Start the Mixing Bench. On the Administrator Files screen,
change / verify the data path to the shared
directory on the server.

- Start the Mixing Bench. On the Administrator Files screen,
